We need a louder voice against Israelโs ongoing occupation and massacre of Palestinians, and the US-Israel war. We are running a campaign for the 'Oct. 11 Global Day of Joint Action' โ an initiative proposed at last Juneโs Anti-War Conference to mark three years of the Gaza genocide. |

Screening of the documentary โA State of Passionโ and โConversation with Palestinians Living in Koreaโ (August 23, 2026) |
|
|
It has been revealed that South Koreaโs National Pension Service (NPS) and its sovereign wealth fund, the Korea Investment Corporation (KIC), hold large amounts of Israeli government bonds and stocks (exclusive reports by ChamSesang on August 12 and 14).
The NPSโs holdings of Israeli stocks and bonds amount to a staggering KRW 769.8 billion. These holdings include shares in Elbit Systems, one of Israelโs leading weapons manufacturers. It has even emerged that the NPS has held, since the time of issuance, bonds that Israelโs Ministry of Finance explicitly stated were issued to finance the costs of the war in Gaza. KIC is also estimated to hold approximately KRW 280 billion worth of Israeli government bonds.
These investments are not merely financial transactions. They provide funding to the Israeli state, which is carrying out massacres and destruction in Gaza and continuing its occupation, as well as to Israelโs military industry. It is appalling that, only a few months after President Lee Jae-myung criticized Israelโs war crimes, it has been revealed that South Korean public funds are being invested in Israeli government bonds, arms companies, and other Israel-related assets. |
