Israel continued its airstrikes even as residents of Gaza celebrated the Eid al-Adha holiday. The number of ceasefire violations has exceeded 3,000. The situation is such that the ceasefire is “on the verge of collapse.” According to media reports, Israel launched attacks against the Palestinian resistance group Hamas with the approval of the so-called “Peace Council” established by Trump.
Israel resumed its attacks on Beirut, the capital of Lebanon, and has occupied the deepest parts of southern Lebanon for the first time in 26 years. Residents have fled their homes.
The U.S. Congress continues to support Israel, including by incorporating provisions into the draft of next year’s National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) that further strengthen military and defense industry cooperation with Israel, a war criminal. The ceasefire in the Iran war is in a precarious state.

🚢 Global outrage continues over Israel’s seizure of the Gaza aid flotilla and the detention and assault of activists aboard. In response, South Korean President Lee Jae-myung criticized Israel’s actions as an “illegal invasion” and referred to the possibility of reviewing the arrest warrant for Benjamin Netanyahu.
✊ President Lee Jae-myung must now turn this just and appropriate criticism into action. Arms exports to Israel must be halted immediately. Cooperation and ties with the Israeli state must be cut. Restrictions on Palestine solidarity marches must also be lifted.
